SECRETARY-GENERAL

Claudia (she/her) is a sophomore studying history and Asian American studies. She is from Virginia Beach, Virginia and has competed in Model United Nations since middle school. Outside of the MUN team, she is part of the Stanford Decarceration Collective and Stanford Matriculate, as well as participating in humanities research. In her free time, you can find her debating which local boba shop is superior or making criminally underrated Spotify playlists. She is extremely excited to serve as Secretary-General this year and to welcome everyone to Stanford this April! DIRECTOR-GENERAL

Tesfa Madhin (he/him) is a junior at Stanford studying International Relations with a focus in Earth, Energy, and Natural Resources. He is very excited to be serving on this year's Secretariat and is hoping to make the conference a memorable and enjoyable one for participants. In his free time, Tesfa enjoys biking, hiking, and traveling with friends as well as studying different histories and cultures of the world.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Josh (he/him) is a sophomore studying Computer Science and Symbolic Systems. He is from Rancho Cucamonga, California and has competed in Model UN since freshman year of high school. In his free time, he enjoys playing music on the piano and traveling to new places. He is super excited to be this year's Director of Operations and looks forward to an amazing conference.

DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH

Kaden (he/him) is a freshman studying Political Science and Earth Systems. He is from Milpitas, California and has competed in Model United Nations since his junior year of high school. Outside of the MUN team, he is part of the Stanford Decarceration Collective, King International Development Association, and Stanford ACLU, as well as participating in environmental justice endeavors. In his free time, you can find him swiping listlessly on Tinder or watching Dave’s Hot Chicken mukbang videos. He cannot wait to serve as Director of Outreach this year and to welcome everyone to Stanford this coming winter!

DIRECTOR OF MEDIA

Nipun is a sophomore at Stanford studying Biomedical Computation with a minor in Global Health. He is thrilled to be serving on SUMUN's Secretariat this year, and is especially excited about providing a platform for students to project their voices on pressing international topics! In his free time, you can find Nipun in the neuroscience research lab, playing the electric guitar, or volunteering in the emergency department at Stanford Medical.

Arunima (she/her) is a sophomore studying CS with Philosophy. She is originally from India, and adores California & the Bay! Previously, she was the Sec-Gen for her High School's Model UN Team. She is extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with the fantastic SUMUN secretariat!
